Today’s “Walk the Talk” visit to Yayasan Anak Unik was truly meaningful. Established in 2014, the foundation carries a beautiful mission—to support children with special needs through education, therapy, and life skills, helping them grow into confident and independent individuals.
The founder, Ibu Gusti Ayu Parmiti, whose passion for inclusive education shines so clearly, created this space as a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for every child. Today, the foundation supports around 60 children, offering daily learning activities, therapy sessions, and creative programs tailored to each child’s unique potential. It
It was also inspiring to hear how closely she works with parents, ensuring consistency in discipline and care even at home.
During our visit, we met a group of kind-hearted students from the Netherlands who are volunteering as part of their school program. Their warmth and connection with the children added such a joyful energy to the day.
We were especially touched to see that the chairs we funded are already in place, ready to be used in the new classrooms. Knowing that these will bring comfort and support to the children’s learning made the moment even more special.
It was a deeply heartwarming and inspiring experience for all of us.
