Yayasan Green Books Indonesia (www.green-books.org) was the inspiring guest speaker for our BIWA Social Welfare meeting earlier today. Based in Bali, this impactful foundation tackles the critical lack of eco-education programs that directly address Indonesia's massive single-use plastic and waste crises.

Through initiatives such as their Zero Waste School Program, they promote sustainable practices within the Gerakan Bali Bersih Sampah. By training educators, promoting recycling, and teaching waste separation, they empower millions of Indonesian schoolchildren to protect their ecosystem and become the next generation of environmental change-makers.

We also discussed our upcoming BIWA Healthy Day in Bontihing Village on September 12, 2026. This meaningful event is expected to be much larger than last year's Healthy Day in Tembuku Village in Bangli, with the number of participants projected to rise significantly.

To ensure the day runs smoothly and successfully, we will need dedicated volunteers to join us.

Your (members') support, time, and enthusiasm will make a significant difference in helping us serve the community and create a positive impact together.
