Earlier today, we ( Ibu Henny, ibu Yus, Jen, Rezi, Tessa and I ) had the opportunity to visit Peduli Learning Centre (PLC) and meet Pak Dedy and Pak Maziar. We learned about the inspiring work they do to empower children and young people in Bali. Although we did not meet the students, as the after-school sessions begin at 5:00 PM, we gained valuable insight into their unique learning programs and leadership-focused curriculum.
PLC goes beyond traditional education by teaching English, sports, mindfulness, character development, and life skills. Their programs encourage children to become “Self-Empowered” individuals through values such as energy, mindset, purpose, ethics, and resilience. Students are also guided to become “Service Leaders,” learning empathy, responsibility, selflessness, and the importance of helping others.
We were particularly impressed by PLC’s emphasis on gratitude, growth, giving, and personal development.
Meeting the passionate team and seeing their learning framework firsthand was truly inspiring. Their dedication to unlocking potential and creating positive change in the community is remarkable.
